Our Story

Heather and Bud Mullins wanted to start a camp to honor their late son, PJ. Growing up, PJ loved being outdoors, camping, and playing on the property he grew up on.

In May of 2022, PJ was struck head-on by a drunk driver going the wrong way on the road. He died at the scene of the crash at age 32

The idea behind Camp Roadrunner was to provide a destination in the summer for local children in the more significant Fauquier/NOVA metropolitan areas to experience the peace of nature and solitude.  We wanted to create a camp where anyone could enjoy summer fun without worrying about the costs!

Camp Roadrunner facilities include multiple outlooks, recreation areas, a pool, animals, and adventures! We aim to help those who need a safe place for their kids in the summer and we hope to see you during or first camp season in the summer of 2024!
